So, marks in english = 240 - x
ATQ,
x/3 - 30 = ( 240 - x ) / 2
2x/3 - 60 = 240 - x
2x/3 + x = 240 + 60
5x/3 = 300
x = 300* 3/5
x = 180
Marks in math = 180
Marks in english = 240 - 180 = 60
